[Class 60] The grinding-machine described in the parent Specification, is modified to adapt it for polishing by substituting for each ofthegrinding-elements carried by the shafts rotating on the inclined axes c, a plate d provided with three necked studs e spaced. 120‹ apart and carrying a flexible plate f of indiarubber, leather, &c. In the plate f engage three necked bolts g, interspaced with the studs e and secured to a housing h carrying the polishing element i of felt &c., the plate f enabling the element i to lie flat on the surface undergoing polishing. In a modification, Fig. 2, the housing h is secured by bolts k to a flexible plate provided with a socket part j<1> having internal recesses engaged by radial projections on a member l secured to the inclined shaft.
