[Class 78 (i)] [See also Group IX] In apparatus for the distribution of fibrous material, e.g. cotton to different branch conduits 2, 3, 4, Fig. 2, in pneumatic conveying plant, a fan 1 is arranged to draw in the fibrous material from a central main conduit 18, Fig. 1, the branch conduits being connected to the periphery of the fan casing and being shut off independently of one another relatively to the fan, e.g. bv the operation of valves 5, 6, 7 normally closed by springs 8 and which are opened by cords 14, 15, 16 through levers 11, 12, 13.
