456,811. Printing-machines. MASCHINENFABRIK AUGSBURG -NURNBERG AKT.-GES., 7, Stadtbachstrasse, Augsburg, Germany. March 27, 1936, No. 9220. Convention date, April 26, 1935. [Class 100 (ii)] Inking-apparatus.- In a rotary intaglio printing - machine the ink is conveyed to the cylinder 2 by a rotary pump 3 arranged within an ink reservoir 1 beneath the cylinder. The pump is driven by a motor 5 and pumps the ink into a trough 7, disposed near the impression point 8, from which it overflows on to the cylinder. To allow reversal of the direction of rotation of the cylinder, the reservoir may be reversed so that the pump and its associated parts are on the opposite side of the cylinder, or the reservoir may be made symmetrical with respect to the vertical plane through the axis of the cylinder so that the pump &c. may be positioned at either side.
