Abstract

456,658. Caps for personal wear. PERCY, J., 61, Holmefield Court, Belsize Grove, and McALONAN, W. A., 1, Haselmere Road, Winchmore Hill, both in London. May 8, 1935, No. 13508. [Class 63] A cap for preventing disarrangement of the coiffure and facial make-up when changing the clothing comprises a hood 3 extending around the back of the head and having front edges 5 which extend upwardly from the base line of the hood to form boundary lines of a face opening, but which do not meet one another, a face and neck covering flap 6 adapted to be swung over about a line connecting the front edges, a draw string 7 extending along the base line of the hood and emerging therefrom at positions short of said front edges, and a chin strap attached to one of the front bottom corners of the hood and adapted to extend to the opposite corresponding corner. This strap secures the flap 6 when it has been brought down to its operative position. The cap may be of silk, impregnated with wax, collodion or varnish.
