[Class 20 (iii)] A roller shutter or door comprising hinged slats has one or more of the slats formed of greater width than the normal slats, and apertured for the reception of panes of transparent or translucent material such as glass or artificial resin. In the form shown, an aperture a is formed in a slat A<1> of approximately double the width of a normal slat A, and the slat is recessed at the back for the reception of the pane C and a securing frame D. The longitudinal edges of the slat and securing frame are shaped to conform with the edges of the normal slats and a groove a<1> is formed in the middle fo the slat, simulating the gap between two slats.
