Abstract
456,382. PortiÞre rods. CLAY, A., and WICKER, J. C., 21, St. Paul's Square, Birmingham. July 20, 1935, No. 20678. [Class 52 (v)] A portiÞre rod 4 is rotatably mounted on a member 8 attached to the door frame and supported, so as to be slidable therethrough, by a member 11, Fig. 3, on the end of an arm 10 fixed to the door. The rod 4, Fig. 2, is connected to an open rectangular member 6 which can turn on it, this member having a pivot pin 7 passing through it, as shown, and connected to the arm 8. Rollers 13, Fig. 3, on the pins 12 connecting the cage 11 to the arm 10 serve as guides for the arm. Clips 14 at each end of the rod prevent undue travel in either direction.
