Abstract

455,574. Curtain - - rail brackets. SMITH, W. H., 40, Clevedon Road, Balsall Heath, Birmingham. Dec. 20, 1935, No. 35273. [Class 52 (v)] An angle bracket for supporting curtain rails, adapted to be closely fitted into the corner between wall and ceiling, comprises two arms 2, 3 each with holes 6, 7 for fixing screws, the horizontal arm having two integral depending lugs 12, the front lug having a tapped hole for a screw 8 adapted to engage under the top flange 9 of the rail and press the rail against the rear lug 12. For fixing the overlapping ends of the rails the arm 3 is extended at 11 and carries a second rail clamp 14 pivoted so as to swing laterally to allow access of a screw-driver to the screw 8.
