[Class 132 (iii)] A box has a cover and two slidably mounted gravity actuated members for preventing the box being opened irrespective of the position in which the box is held. As shown in Fig. 1, a pin 18 engages in a socket 17 in the box and in an aperture 19 in the cover 14 carried by the pivot 15. The lock is released by rotating the disc 20 so that a particular indication on the scale 24 thereon is positioned opposite the mark 25 to position the socket 22 in the disc 20 opposite the aperture 19 and socket 17 so that when the box is turned upside down, Fig. 2, the pin 18 falls into the socket 22. The cover 14 cannot yet be rotated about the pin 15 for the sliding bolt 26 has fallen to enter the socket 36. The disc 31 and spindle 30 are now rotated until a particular indication on the scale 32 on the disc registers with a mark 35, Fig. 3, on the box, to position the key 29, Fig. 5, on the spindle 30 in the cut-out 28 in the sliding bolt 26. The disc 31 and spindle 30 are now moved upwards in slots 33 and 34 to lift the bolt clear of the socket 36 allowing the cover 14 to be rotated about the pivot 15. The box is now turned right side up and an inner cover 40, hinged at 41 and held with a snap button 42 and provided with a grip portion 43, opened to allow access to the interior of the box.
