[Class 64 (i)] [See also Group XVII] A portable water-heating vessel for placing on a source of heat has an internal flue 6 comprising a dome-shaped passage dividing the vessel into two containers of approximately equal volume, the flue being interrupted by short tubes 3 connecting the containers. To facilitate emptying the vessel, one tube 3 is arranged in line with the spout, which may carry a steam whistle. Part of the bottom of the internal container 4 may be at a higher level than the bottom of the external container, which is seated on a ring 8 ; and a rim 9 at the outer edge of the inner vessel prevents water of condensation from reaching a guide ring 11 containing a burner 10. The flue 6 is connected to an outlet flue 2 which is central or at one side. The inner container 4 may be further subdivided similarly and two vessels may be formed together as in Fig. 4. The flue walls 18 may be corrugated.
