[Class 97 (i)] A carrier for an endless film is driven through an adjustable friction-wheel driving gear; the adjustable wheel of the driving gear may be movable along the spindle of the carrier. As shown, the film carrier comprises a dished plate b, the spindle a of which carries a friction wheel h driven from a wheel i. The wheel. h is movable on the spindle a by a forked lever p urged by a spring q into engagement with a nut s adjustable by hand on a bolt t. The wheel i is driven by peripheral teeth from a pinion k and is urged by a spring m into engagement with the wheel h. The film d is fed over a roller f from the centre of the coil c to the projector, and passes from the projector over a roller g to the outermost convolution of the coil c.
