Abstract

451,427. Two-part couplings. CASTLE FUSE & ENGINEERING CO., Ltd., 33, Chester Street, and MORLEY, E. J., 68, Phoebe Anne Street, both in Liverpool. Feb. 8, 1935, No. 4044. [Class 38 (i)] Connection between a cable and a bus-bar or the like B is effected by means of a screwed stud 1 attached to the cable by a clamping head 2 and supported ir an insulating bush E ir the bus-bar B, a nut D or the bolt making contact witl the bus-bar when screwed down. The bolt is held in the bush by a pin 7 and the bush may be screwed into the bus-bar and project above the surface into a recess 13 in the nut D. A lock-nut 14 secures the nut D in either the raised or lowered position and the nuts are held captive on the bolt by a split-pin, or by riveting over the end of the bolt.
