Abstract
450,010. Clocks. MAGNUS, H. F., 79, Fore Street, London. Feb. 4, 1936, No. 3328. [Class 139] A travelling clock or the like in which the clock 6 is connected to, and enclosed in, an outer case 1 for transport and is propped against the opened lid 2 to display the dial, is characterized by the lid or part of the outer case which covers the dial in the closed position having an aperture 8 to expose the hands 9, the rim 11 of this aperture having hour indications thereon. The hole 8 may be open or provided with a transparent filling. The clock 6 is hinged at 7 to outer case 1. The lid 2 is hinged at 3 to the case 1 and has a fastener 4 engaging a locking lip 5 on the case 1. In the open position this fastener 4 engages in a slot in the back of the clock case 6. The outer case may be of metal, leather or fabric-if of metal, the hour indications may be applied directly thereto at the edge of hole 8 instead of to ring 11.
