Abstract
449,996. Piles. SIMPLEX CONCRETE PILES, Ltd., and LANCASTER, J. K., 137, Victoria Street, London. Nov. 14, 1935, No. 31592. [Class 68 (ii)] The preparatory pile tube A is driven by a monkey F striking the top or cap D of the tube A, to which monkey is attached a ramrod or other ramming member G adapted to tamp the concrete Q in the tube. The tube A may be withdrawn by ropes M and a collar O. A reinforcing cage R may be placed on the tube, the lower end of which may be closed by a shoe B or a plug of dry concrete. By suitable operations a clump foot and an expanded pile may be forced. The ramrod may have an enlarged head, which may be flanged, and may be hollow.
