Abstract
449,099. Valve gear. LEEK, G. H., 89. Learn Terrace, Leamington Spa, and ROSE, R. H., Red Roof, Penn, Wolverhampton. Feb. 6, 1935, No. 3783. [Class 7 (vi)] Inclined overhead inlet and exhaust valves 11 are actuated from cam-shafts 5, 6 located at opposite sides of the top of the cylinder, in conjunction with inclined tappets 9 mounted in the cylinder head and connected by push rods 13 to rockers 20. The arm of the rocker engaging the push rod is offset from the arm engaging the valve, in order to arrange the tappet at one side of the passage 22. A screw adjustment 15 may be provided on the rocker. The Provisional Specification describes the use of a single cam shaft.
