446,428. Endless - track vehicles. ST. GEORGE, S., 12, Bury Street, Bloomsbury, and MEAGHER, W. D., 2, Longford Street, Euston, both in London. Oct. 31, 1934, No. 31198. [Classes 79 (i) and 79 (ii)] [See also Group XV] An amusement vehicle runs on endless tracks and may have the appearance of a " tank," and is provided with an engine or electric motor 5 which drives both tracks, means being provided for braking or de-clutching the drive to either track for steering purposes. In the construction shown, the engine 5 drives the tracks through a clutch 10 controlled by a pedal 11, bevel gearing 8, and clutches 13, 14 controlled by the steering wheel 12, so that when the steering wheel is rotated one or other clutch is disengaged and the vehicle is steered. In a modification, the clutches may be spring- controlled and the steering wheel when rotated applies a brake to the appropriate track. A bumper bar 2 is provided. Each track 4 is a rubber or other flexible band and passes over three wheels or rollers 3.
