445,827. Anti - dazzle devices for vehicle lamps. PETTIT, C., 26, Gloucester Avenue, Blackpool. Nov. 21, 1935, No. 32236. [Class 75 (iv)] An anti-dazzle device for a vehicle lamp comprises a three-sided hood C the top of which increases slightly in width from the back to the front, the hood being detachably secured to a split ring B adapted to be clamped on to the bezel of the lamp A. The rear end of the hood terminates in a downwardly extending tongue c which is passed through a horizontal slot b<3> formed near the top of a plate b<2> that projects upwardly from the ring B and is nearly the width of the rear part of the hood. The hood is secured in the inclined position shown, or in a horizontal position, by means of a hook b4 hinged to the plate b<2> and passed through either of a pair of holes in the tongue c. The under surface of the hood is silvered or otherwise made reflecting, and the ring B may be lined with rubber or other cushioning material.
