[Class 103 (i)] A vehicle rim-brake comprises a metal holder 4 which is self adjustable circumferentially of the wheel rim about a central pivot and a brake block 1 reversible about the central pivot. In one form, a rubber brake block 1 is clamped between plates 4 by means of rivets or screws and is mounted by means of a washer 9 and nut 8. The plates may be formed with projections adapted to be pressed into the blocks, or they may be formed with lugs to facilitate mounting and which support the block ; alternatively, a pair of blocks 1<a> may be mounted in a holder 14 of double channel form,
