Abstract

445,158. Portable advertising devices. SMITH, V., 15, New Bridge Street, London. June 12, 1935, No. 16974. [Classes 3 (i) and 3 (ii)] A portable advertising device comprises illuminated casings 4, 6, 7 provided with transparent advertising panels and supported on a frame 1 carried on a person's shoulders by a yoke member 8. The advertising panels 16 are held against the rear face of the celluloid or like front 16<a> of the casings by bars 17 having tongues 18 engaging in slots in the sides 9 of the casings. The casing 4, which is also provided with an advertising sheet on its rear face, is preferably mounted on the frame 1 by bolts 19 engaging in slots 20 in a member 3 secured to the frame 1, so that the casing may be swung through 90‹. The lamps 22 which may be flashed, are fed from batteries 25, 26.
