[Class 64 (ii)] The steam heating system of the parent Specification in which a heating body 1 is connected between a steam supply chamber 5 and a condensate receiver 6 the chambers being provided with an hydraulic seal at their lower ends and with orifices at their upper ends, is modified by arranging the orifices 9, 10, in external chambers 17, 18 so that the pressure conditions in the chambers 5, 6 are uninfluenced by the condensate entering the latter. In a modification, the outlet pipe 41, Fig. 2, of the heating body communicates with a chamber 6<11>, arranged at the upper end of chamber 5, and provided with the orifices as before. The steam supply chamber 5 communicates across the condensate receiver 6<1> with the inlet of the heater. In a further modification, a separate condensate return pipe connected to chamber 6<1> is used in addition to the pipe 41.
