Abstract

444,101. Cutters for making woodwool. BANG OR, 0., Moum, near Fredrikstad, Norway. Oct. 25, 1935, No. 29487. [Class 145 (i)] In a cutter assemblv for making wood-wool a backing edge is interposed between the planing iron and the cutter plate, so as to control the cut of the planing iron. A cutting plate 3, Fig. 1, having a serrated edge is secured to the planing iron 1 by a cap iron 2 and screws 5; the lower edge of the cutting plate 3 bears on the eccentric heads 7<1> of screws 7 whereby it can be adjusted, A plate 6 forming the backing edge is interposed between the planing iron 1 and cutting plate 3, being adjustably secured to the planing iron 1 by screws. In a modification, Fig. 4, the backing edge is formed integral with the cutting plate.
