443,335. Laminated springs; gas meters. NAAMLOOZE VENNOOTSCHAP MACHINERIEEN - EN APPARATEN FABRIEKEN MEAF, 30, Croeselaan, Utrecht, Holland. July 12, 1935, No. 20032. Convention date, Feb. 25. [Class 108 (iii)] [See also Group XXIX] In order to adjust the pressure of a valve operable by control means through one or more leafsprings, the effective length of the springs is adapted to be varied by means of a slotted plate slidable on the springs and connected thereto by a screw passing through the slot. As shown a double plate in the form of a clip 8 is slidable on the springs 3 and, with the springs, is connected by the screw 1 to the shaft 2 of the valve-reversing gear of a gasmeter, the double-acting valve 5 being carried by a spindle 4 secured to the free ends of the springs.
