443,322. Vehicle wheels. KLOCKNERWERKE AKT. - GES., Rauxel, Castrop, Germany. May 9, 1935, No. 13686. Convention date, May 12, 1934. [Class 144 (ii)] Relates to a threepart wheel rim comprising a rim proper a, a closed side ring b, and a divided intermediate ring c. According to the invention, the opposed surfaces of the rim a and the ring b provide between them a shallow V-shaped space in the outer part of which the divided ring c is placed so as to contact with the whole of the opposed outer surfaces of the V-shaped space. A large gripping surface for the ring c is thus obtained so that securing means for this ring may be dispensed with. In cross-section, the ring c may have parallel or inwardly-diverging sides.
