522,506. Vehicle wheels. TIVEY, L. A. Feb. 7, 1939, No. 3915. [Class 144 (i)] To permit movement of the inner ends of wire spokes 13, for avoiding compressive strains in the lower rim of the wheel, the beaded ends of the spokes are fitted in slots 12 of substantially uniform width in the hub-flanges 11. As shown, the slots are arranged in alignment with the assembled spokes.
