Abstract

443,051. Perambulators. BAVEYSTOCK, A. R. H., Teesdale Works, Fairfield Road, Bow, London. Dec. 14, 1934, No. 35956. [Class 108 (i)] A perambulator is provided with a seat, back rest and leg rest, together with the supports therefor, the seat &c. comprising a unit which can be removed from the perambulator and remounted in reverse facing direction. A frame comprising side members 6 having bent ends 7, 10 has fitted thereto a seat 5, a back rest 2 pivoted at 4 and a leg rest 1 pivoted at 3. Pivoted to the ends of the side members 6 are U-shaped brackets 8, 11 to support the leg rest and back rest, which brackets may bo positioned as shown in Fig. 3, when a recumbent position of the child passenger is desired. The frame together with seat &c. forms a unit which can be placed in a perambulator frame so that the child may face either forwardly or rearwardly. One such perambulator is shown in Fig. 1 in which side arm frames 19 are pivoted at 20, 21 to the remainder of the frame and transverse bars 22 are provided upon which the members 6 of the seat &c. frame may be mounted, a locking member 23 being provided.
