Abstract
442,868. Indiarubber buckets &c. MILES, H. G. W. CHICHESTER-, 25, Victoria Street, Westminster. Aug. 15, 1934, No. 23518. [Class 66] [See also Group V] The flexible handles 6 of indiarubber buckets and pails are formed integral with the vessels during the moulding operation. The handles are formed as portions of an outer top rim united to the vessel rim 8 at opposite positions 5, V-shaped notches 7 being formed to provide definite bending points. The handles 6, lugs 5, and rim 8 may embody steel or other embedded reinforcements. The vessels are formed in moulds, the outer portions of which are provided with'outer channels following the contour of the top of the body cavity and extending slightly less than half way around it. These channels merge into the cavity by way of oppositely-disposed passages, the channels and passages affording the handle portions 6 and lugs 5 respectively. The notches 7 may be formed during the moulding operation.
