Abstract

442,810. Sprinklers and sprinkling- stoppers. WILSON, R. W., 500, 5th Avenue, New York, U.S.A. Feb. 14, 1935, No. 4753. Convention date, Feb. 16, 1934. [Classes 18 and 125 (iii)] A closure for a tin &c. is of hollow partly spherical formation and is covered by a cap of similar form which is pivotally attached thereto by diametrically opposed pivot members. Holes in the closure and the cap can be brought into register on rotating the cap relative to the closure, to form a sprinkling device. The cap c has downwardly extending lugs c<1> wherein nibs c<2> are provided which engage in recesses in the closure. Openings c<5> in the cap can be moved into and out of alignment with openings b<3> in the shell. The closure may be temporarily secured to the tin by screw-threads or it may be permanently secured thereto. Detents may be provided between the cap and the shell to hold the cap in the open position, and a flange c<3> may be provided as a finger piece.
