Abstract

The method of making a meat &c. roll according to the process of the parent Specification is modified by providing between the core, which is of edible material of the character of a relish, and the shell, which is of meat or fish material, a layer of fat, e.g. of thin slices of bacon or other fat preferably raw. In a further modification, the shell is made of the relish material and the core of the meat or fish material with the fat layer between. The roll may be made up in a tin or other container which is heated to exhaust the air therefrom and then sealed, after which it is heated further for sterilization and, if necessary, cooking.
