Abstract

The process of making a meat &c. roll according to the parent Specification is modified by making the core, which is of edible material of the nature of a relish, of sufficient rigidity to stand up and inserting it in a mould or other container, the meat or fish material being next inserted between the core and the container wall to form the shell of the roll. In a further modification, the core is of the meat material, which is made sufficiently rigid to stand up vertically in the mould, and the shell is added by inserting the relish material. To facilitate setting, gelatine may be included in the meat or relish material. The mould or other container may be of glass, metal, &c., and may be sealed for transport of the roll.
