Abstract

442,500. Oscillographs. COSSOR, Ltd., A. C., Highbury Grove, London.-(Assignees of Ardenne, Baron M. von; 19, Jungfernstieg, Lichterfelde, Berlin) May 7, 1934, No. 13794. Void [Abridged as open to inspection under Sect. 91 of the Acts, Dec. 11, 1934]. Drawings to Specification. [Class 37] [See also Group XL] Cathode-ray tubes for oscillography &c. having the image screen inclined to the tube axis and viewed from the side struck by the ray are constructed to avoid image distortions, such as those due to the inclination of the screen and to inclined observation of the screen, and have the screen mounted in a spherical bulb to avoid distortion due to streaks in the glass and to enable wide-aperture, short-focus lenses to be brought near the screen. The tube may be mounted in an inclined position in a closed box with an inclined window for observation of the electrodes and particularly of the cathode temperature : the screen is vertical and cooperates with an adjustable lens. For photographic recording, the lens is adjustable together with a camera.
