[Class 83 (iv)] [See also Group XXX] A rolling-mill is provided with spaced conveyer chains or belts 16, 16<1> on each side to feed through and receive a sheet from the rolls and it is then returned over the top by oppositely moving conveyer chains 27 which can be tilted up at one end in the gap between the outside belts 16, the right hand chains 27<1> thereby lifting the sheet up clear of the chains 16 and conveying it back, over the top, to the left-hand chains 27 which are then tilted down to lower the sheet on to the belts 16 which then feed the sheet through the mill again. The belts 16 and 27 are continuously traversed in opposite directions by a motor 35 at each side, driving, through a worm wheel 33 and other gears, the sprockets of both sets of conveyers. The pivoting of each of the inside conveyers 27 is performed by a crank 36 actuated by a motor 44, and may be timed automatically to pass the sheet to-and-fro continuously.
