441,226. Scoring-apparatus for games. TAIGEL, S. J., 44, Cressingham Road, Lewisham, London. Oct. 3, 1934, No. 28292. [Class 132 (ii)] Scoring-apparatus, particularly for cricket, comprises a collapsable frame 10, endless scoring bands 11 passing round rods 18 on the frame 10 and a flexible front 12 with openings 13 to expose the appropriate score indications. The frame consists of two horizontal bars 14 hinged together at 16 and side legs 15 which are held apart, in the display position, by stays 17. Six rods 18 which are prevented from rotation, slide at their ends in dovetail grooves in the front legs 15 and are held in their lowered positions by tapes 19 anchored at the tops at 20 and, after passing round the rods, fastened to cleats 23. Three rods 18 are similarly supported by the rear legs 15. Each endless scoring band 11 passes round two front rods 18 and a rear rod 18 so as to be taut when the frame is set up as shown. A flexible front 12 is permanently attached at the top edge to a cross-bar 14 and is fastened at the bottom to cleats 23. The four legs 15 are hinged at 25, so that when the tapes 19 are undone from cleats 23 and rods 18 are slid upwards towards the bars 14, the legs 15 may be folded with their lower parts parallel to the bars 14. The collapsed frame may then be wrapped in the fiexible front 12. In a modified form of leg, Fig. 6, each leg is of T-section and the rod has a corresponding fitting 33 to slide up and down the leg. In a modified frame, Fig. 7, the rods 41 bearing the score bands are permanently attached at their ends to rigid rear frame sections 36, 37, 38 and front sections 44, 45, 46 (the flexible front 12 of Fig. 1 being omitted) which are connected by hinges 39, 40 and are held in the display position by cross-members 42 and 43.
