[Class 135] [See also Group I] A valve comprises a hollow body 15 formed with an internal seating 17 and inlet 18. A plunger 19 has a reduced lower portion 20 forming an annular chamber 21 between such portion and the body 15 ; the upper portion 22 is of such a diameter as to leave a small clearance between it and the body 15 allowing some water to pass into the chamber 23 above the plunger. A longitudinal bore 24 in the plunger accommodates the stem 25 of an auxiliary valve 29 spring-pressed on to a seating 30 in the plunger, the spring also serving to maintain the main valve on its seating. A member 13, adjustably connected to the nose-plate 7 of a drinking bowl for animals, first contacts with the stem 25 of the auxiliary valve, relieving the main valve of the water pressure in the chamber 23, and then with the main valve.
