[Class 34 (ii)] In a drying device, granular material such as cereals is fed by vibratory movements along a path, and at one or more intermediate points of the path pneumatic or mechanical means raise the bottom layer of material. to the top. In the forms shown, the material is fed along a shaking sieve and turned over by rising blasts of air. The supply of the material to the air current may be controlled by means of a slide c, and a deflecting plate d assists in the deposition after the elevation by the air. Slat-like insertions e facilitate the feeding of the material into the air stream.
