[Classes 20 (iv) and 87 (i)] Walls are built with blocks having one or more diagonal holes 1 which are lined with tubes of sheet metal, pasteboard, papier mÔchÚ, or other suitable material and receive binding material, reinforced by rods 4 or lugs on the linings if desired, during erection. The holes 1 may be of circular or elliptical section and the linings may consist of two stampings fixed together and having transverse corrugations at their ends. Fig. 7 shows a wall built up of blocks having two intersecting diagonal holes. Fig. 8 shows a wall in which alternate courses comprise blocks having two intersecting diagonal holes and blocks having one diagonal hole ; the bottom course consists of blocks having one whole and one half diagonal hole.
