[Class 30] The blade is located in position by spring pins 8 so that the operation of shaving causes it to vibrate in its own plane at an angle to the cutting edge. Each pin comprises two leaf springs inclined at 45‹ to the cutting edges so that the blade vibrates at an angle to the edges and has a shearing action. The pins are carried by a cross-bar 4 journalled in a yoke 2. A clamping plate 7 is hinged to the guard plate 5 which is secured by means of a strap 3 to a pivoted bar 4 of the frame. Bent wings 4<a>, on the bar engage in the manner shown a tongue 9 attached to a slide 12 in the handle. A press-button on a pin 10<a> slidable in a slot in the handle enables the razor head to be moved from the inclined position shown to one in which the blade is parallel to the handle. The holes 6<a> in the blade for receiving the spring pins are square.
