438,663. Batteries. BLOMFIELD, R. M., and FULLER ACCUMULATOR CO. (1926), Ltd., Grove Road, Chadwell Heath, Essex. May 17, 1934, No. 14904. [Class 53] A dry cell is closed by a disc b which may be integral with or separate from an insulating casing a. In the latter case, as shown in Fig. 1, the disc is held in place by the inturned end f of the casing. A second disc d which may rest on a beading h in the cell container g, as shown in Fig. 3, is placed below the disc band the space between the two discs is filled with insulating material. The bottom of the casing a is open to expose the zinc cup of the cell. Gases generated in the cell escape between the disc b and the electrode c.
