Abstract

435,525. Revolving - barrel locks. YALE & TOWNE MANUFACTURING CO., Stamford, Connecticut, U.S.A. Dec. 19, 1933, No. 35701. Void [Abridged as open to inspection under Sect. 91 of the Acts, Oct. 23, 1934]. [Class 44] In a cylinder lock various forms of tumblers and drivers are used in combination to prevent picking. In Fig. 1 certain drivers 22 have mushroom heads which, upon an attempt being made to force the lock, assume the locking position shown in Fig. 6. To compensate for the weakening of these drivers, the first pin 24 is made long and strong and may have a tapered head. One driver is formed with a conical head 28. To prevent drilling discs 16, 17 of hardened steel are inserted in slots at the front end. The cylinder 10 is die-cast over the brass sleeve 14.
