[Class 61 (iii)] A multiple spanner com prises a number of nested tube: 1, 2, 3 traversed by a tommy bar 4 with flats 5 coacting with slots 7, 9 and apertures 8 in the outer and inner tubes to enable one or other of the tubes to be locked in projected position In the modification shown in Fig. 7 particularly adapted for use with a ratchet wrench 14 the locking means comprises a short rod 10 with flats and having a head 11 and a knurlec head 12 together with a spring washer 13 to hold it friction tight.
