Abstract
<PICT:0435358/III/1> A device for continuously treating wounds consists of an ozone generator having a connection for the supply of oxygen and controlling means therefor, and means for holding hollow needles &c. to apply the ozone, the ozone generator being separated from the outer wall of the device by a neutral jacket containing air. According to the arrangement shown, the ozone generator consists of concentric tubes i--k having electrodes m and n on the inner and outer surfaces respectively, the ozone being formed in the space between the tubes. Guiding surfaces may be arranged to increase the path of the oxygen to be ozonized. The generator is housed in a casing d having a screwed mouthpiece e which is provided with a passage for the glass nozzle g. The nozzle has a conical end h on which a hollow needle can be mounted. The opposite end of the generator is formed with a conical extension r which is sealed against a recess in the casing by the spring f. Oxygen is passed through the device via the connection a regulating valve b and measuring instrument c. The leads p and q for the high frequency current are connected to the electrodes by sliding or plug contacts. A branch t is provided for the introduction of other curative materials. The air jacket may be provided with means to pass air therethrough or may contain a coiled pipe for passing a heating or cooling medium or may be provided with electric heating means.
