434,834. Universal joints. MOLLART, A. J., and HENDRA, J. C., c/o Mollart Engineering Co., Thames Ditton, Surrey. April 13, 1934, No. 11248. Addition to 418,641. [Class 80 (ii)] In a universal joint according to the parent Specification, the splines 3<c> of the two halves of each shaft fork member 3 meet at the far side of the intermediate ball 1, where they interengage by a tongue 3D engaging a groove 2D, while at the near side of the ball the splines are discontinued at 9 through an arc which is at least sufficient to allow the desired angular movement between the shafts.
