434,588. Endless - chain elevators. SOUTH METROPOLITAN GAS CO., CHANDLER, D., and SKINNER, A. J., 709, Old Kent Road, London. Feb. 2, 1934, No. 3554. [Class 78 (i)] [See also Groups XII and VI] In a bakers' or like oven, trays 9 are suspended from chains 1, 2 which pass over sprockets 3 on a driven shaft 5 and around lower rings 4 which may be smooth, grooved or toothed. The rings 4 are " floating," that is, are not constrained to rotate on a fixed axis, the wear being thus automatically taken up and the tension of the chains maintained constant.
