Abstract

434,569. Refrigerator - cars &c. TOVOTE, L., 6, S³dstrasse, Rethen, Leine, Germany. Oct. 1, 1934, No. 28101. Convention date, Aug. 16. [Class 29] Rail-cars, ships' holds, &c. are cooled by solid carbon dioxide &c. supported in containers suspended from the ceiling, and having a perforate base or closure plate which supports the refrigerant. Thus, the container may comprise a glass vessel 8 having a felt cover 9, and a zinc casing 10. The casing is suspended by rods 15. carrying plates 11, 11<x> between which is disposed a perforate slide 12. Fig. 4 shows a modified container comprising a heatinsulated zinc or aluminium cylinder having an iron casing, a perforate closure plate 21, and a suspension rod 23. The container may be of square cross-section.
