[Class 21.] A metal drum or container for substances such as dyestuffs access of moisture to which must be prevented is provided with an aperture 8 in the lid 6 or at some other suitable part which serves to equalize the pressures inside and outside the container so that water collecting in the sunken head of the container may not be forced through the joints. A porous cardboard &c. disc 7 is placed beneath the lid which is rotated by a rod 9, In a modification the disc 7 is replaced by a lever lid which does not make a hermetic joint with the body.
