[Class 39 (i).] Baffles, consisting for example of parallel or concentric walls, are provided in the liquid cathode and are formed integrally, e.g. by moulding or casting, with the container. A cathode ring 6, provided with a projection such as 5 or 11, is fitted, and the quartz or iron baffles 8, 9 are formed with openings, and may be formed with flanges 10 which are, preferably, downwardly inclined.
