434,332. Heating or cooling buildings. RIDDER, J. J. DE, 20, Herculesstraat, and DUIKER, J., 34, Minervalaan, both in Amsterdam. Feb. 18, 1935, No. 5168. Convention date, June 30, 1934. [Classes 29 and 64 (ii)] A fan 1 forces air over a heater 4 and thence through a heat-insulated conduit 3 to a space 6 above the ceiling 11, which may be a heat conductor, e.g. expanded metal covered by plaster. The air returns to the fan for recirculation. An intermediate floor 13, e.g. the balcony of a theatre may receive hot air in a similar manner, so that the building is heated entirely by heat radiated downward from the ceiling. A building may be cooled in a similar manner by circulating cold air.
