Abstract

In the process described in Specification 311,766, [Class 81 (ii)], for metallizing rubber articles in which the articles are swelled in a solvent containing a reducing agent, dried, and dipped in a reducible salt solution, a preliminary treatment with a halogen or tin or zinc halide is applied to the swelled article. The order of application of the reducing agent and salt solution is immaterial.
