Convention date, Sept. 15, 1933. [A Specification was laid open to inspection under Sect. 91 of the Acts, Oct. 25, 1934.] [Class 69 (iii)] The nozzle of a rotary sprinkler has mounted thereon a rotatable body, such as a paddle wheel S, having reacting surfaces one or more of which may be resilient, arranged to turn into the path of the jet as the body rotates, so that the impulse on the reacting surfaces vary in intensity. The paddle wheel may be mounted towards one side or underneath the jet, and may be carried by a pivoted arm L so that it may be swung from one side to the other of the jet thus reversing its direction of rotation. The nozzle of sprayer may be inclined to its axis so that the jet impinges at an angle to the reacting surfaces. The paddles may be replaced by surfaces of other form, e.g. by a worm. This subject-matter was included in Specification 432,030 as open to inspection under Sect. 91.
