Abstract
206,160. Ventimotor Bilau & Co. Oct. 26, 1922, [Convention date]. Stream-line surfaces of prime movers are furnished with movable parts by which the streamline effect is distributed or interrupted. In one form, the portion A, Fig. 1, of the surface is pivoted at 7 and the area of the part 6 is greater than that of the part 5 so that the fluid pressure on the surface can be used to rotate the portion A into the dotted line position. In another form, surfaces 8, 9, Fig. 2, normally contained within the stream-line body by springs 12, 13 may be caused to project as shown in dotted lines. The surfaces may be operated by any means and may be controlled by centrifugal governors situated within the surfaces. The Specification as open to inspection under Sect. 91 (3) (a) comprises also the application of the invention to propellers, sailing surfaces, and steering surfaces. This subject-matter does not appear in the Specification as accepted.
