Dec. 12, 1933, No. 34959. Convention date, Dec. 23, 1932. [Class 38 (iv)] Pulsations in the effective value of the current or voltage in an A.C. circuit 1 feeding a load, e.g. 3 are produced by alternately supplying and failing to supply current to the saturating winding 5 of a saturable core reactor 4 in the circuit. The impedance of the reactor is thus rhythmically varied and the energization of the winding of a relay 8 across the load or across the reactor Fig. 2, (not shown), similarly altered to open or close the circuit containing the winding 5.
