Abstract

430,204. Drop-seat garments. DEHN, F. B., 103, Kingsway, London.-(Martin Bros. Co.; 241, 1st Avenue North, Minneapolis, Minnesota, U.S.A.) May 12, 1934, No. 14446. [Class 141] A garment comprises a blouse portion 11 and a pants portion 12 which is formed with a drop seat 16 having a waistband 37 terminating in belt straps 38, 39, adapted to be fastened together round the waist of the wearer, the drop seat 16 being supported in its lowered position by means of auxiliary straps 42, 43, which are secured to the ends of the belt straps 38, 39, and to the pants portion 12 of the garment. The auxiliary straps 42, 43, are of substantially the same length as the straps 38, 39, and are adapted to slide through guides 50, 51, attached to the drop seat so that when the drop seat is in its closed position, the guides are concealed, and are substantially in coincidence with the points of attachment of the straps 42, 43, to the garment. In a modification, the auxiliary straps may be formed as continuations of the belt straps.
